Adoption Fees Reduced on Several Long-Term Felines Looking for Loving Homes

Occasionally, we have cats in our care that stay longer than average. At this time, we still have 7 cats that arrived at our shelter in 2012. Freckle and Pops have been with us for over a year now, and the others have been waiting several months for their new homes. It’s time to get all of our “long-term” cats into new homes so that we can make room for more than need to be rescued from the pound.

Generous donors have offered to sponsor all or part of the adoption fees (normally $136/cat) for the long-term cats.

Esperanza: A Story of Hope

Esperanza came to us in November as an owner surrender because her owner was unable to provide for her special needs.  Esperanza has been paralyzed since birth due to a spinal cord injury.  But this sweet dog is not one to lie down and give up!  Instead, she is proving that with a little determination, anything is possible.  Watch her video and check back for updates as Esperanza learns to use her legs again!

Wish List

If you’re looking to help the animals but just aren’t sure how to do so, here is a list of items that we are always in need of:

Our “Wish List”:

        • Purina Kitten Chow
        • Purina Cat Chow
        • Non-scoopable litter (any brand)
        • Stretch and Scratch scratching pads
        • Purina Puppy Chow
        • Durable dog toys (Kongs, Nylabones, etc.)
        • Martingale collars (all sizes)
        • Bleach
        • HE laundry detergent
        • 13 ga. garbage bags
        • Gift cards from PetSmart, Petco, Walmart, and Mills Fleet Farm
If you are unable to purchase items and bring them to the shelter, you can make a financial donation here to support our mission.
